Guillermo Escalante, MBA, PTA, ATC, CSCS. Fitness Director Guillermo received his undergraduate degrees in Athletic Training and Biology from the University of La Verne in 1997 where he participated in varsity track and football. Upon completing his undergraduate studies, Guillermo went on to become a certified athletic trainer and certified strength & conditioning specialist. In 1999, Guillermo completed a Masters in Business Administration with concentrations in Healthcare Management and Marketing. In February 2000, Guillermo established SportsPros and has led the company’s growth since its inception. Guillermo returned to school in 2004 and is in the final stages of completing a doctorate in Athletic Training with an emphasis in rehabilitation. Guillermo challenged the Physical Therapy Assistant exam with the state board and successfully earned his licensure. Guillermo has been an adjunct professor or guest lecturer in the sports rehabilitation sciences at local universities since 2004 and has treated and/or trained a multitude of high school, college, and elite athletes since 1997. Guillermo is currently the Sports Medicine column author for Musclemag International Magazine and keeps his competitive spirit alive as a national level bodybuilding competitor.
Dee Tipton, PT, MPH, DD. Director of Physical Therapy. Dee received her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from Oklahoma University and her Master of Public Health from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She completed her Doctorate of Divinity Degree from Birmingham, Alabama in November of 2006. Dee specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and has worked extensively with athletes from all levels of competition: from the Olympic Athlete, to the week-end warrior, to the pediatric soccer player, to the elite dancer and musician. Her special interests lie in Holistic Health and combining mind, body, spirit interactions to achieve optimal results.
Monica Escalante, NASM-CPT, SPN, IFBB Pro. Wellness Director Monica attended Southwestern College and attained certifications as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and as a specialist in performance nutrition from the International Sports Sciences Association. She has been a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and assistant fitness director at a personal training studio and 24 Hour Fitness since she began her career in the fitness industry. Monica became an IFBB Pro Figure athlete by winning the 2009 Team Universe Figure Championships and has appeared on fitness magazine covers and centerfolds as a fitness model. She enjoys riding her road bike, healthy cooking, and spending time with her husband and 2 miniature Dachshunds.
Betty Gandara. Licensed Esthetician. Betty’s dedication to skin care evolved after a few years of searching for a field in which she could help people feel and look better. Since she started her skin care business, she has found a great deal of satisfaction in treating her clients so that they feel cared for and have great looking skin. Betty offers a personalized approach to her care by providing a skin and lifestyle analysis so that she can understand her customer’s needs and the products used on their skin are carefully selected. Betty trained at Citrus College in Glendora, CA and continues to further her education and learning new techniques to keep up with current trends. In her spare time, Betty enjoys spending her time outdoors (with sunscreen of course) hiking, walking, and running. Betty also enjoys Yoga as well as spending time with her husband and extended family.
Chris Sadiq, HHP, LMT. Chris received his training as a massage therapist from West Coast College in 2000 and went on to become certified as a holistic health practitioner and a licensed massage therapist. Chris specializes in massage rehabilitation for orthopedic ailments and is also skilled at performing Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. Chris’s healing hands will help your body recover.
